A century-or-so has passed, and I am have finally decided to post again. Well, its about my screwed up mid year results.....last term my overall was 69%. This year my overall dropped to a freaking low 68%..Arghh!!!! Ok. Lets look at my individual results...blah....
English: 56%....Unbelievable....first time I ever did so badly for English....
Higher Chinese: 59% (Not bad, 14th position in level, 5 highest score in level...)
Math: 77 (I know it's an A1 but could have done better....)
Geography: 77.5% (great improvement from term 1 bcuz i got E8 in term 1)
Combined Science: 69% (Pure carelessness. I wrote Hydrogen Chloride is Neutral...)
Literature: 68% (Not bad; Not good either)
Music: 86% (finally something which I scored well in...too bad it's not included in streaming)
Overall: 68% (Cannot make it)
Must seriously chiong term 3 and 4 liao. But if I start concentrating on studies, wont i not have enuf time to go bandroom? Haiz...so confused. Plus AP is less than 2 months away. Still havent learned glenderuel highlands, pomp and circumstance, coburg, colonel bogey, on the mall and el chaparral march yet...God Bless Me! I juz hope the other sec2s are coping with AP and studies but it seems like they dont even noe wad songs we are playing...muz post on batch blog after this....
Anyways, promotion parade was last thursday and most of the sec2s are finally lance coporals!!! Woot! Acting tops'09 were announced and they seem quite promising. Lets juz pray that they will be responsible throughout their term as leaders and not slacken as time passes like how i leave my blog dead after awhile...

yesterday was the performance at Singapore Concert Hall. Overall for the band was quite good but Horn Section Pooned victory of Jericho! It sounded so emotional for the first time! during the break time, my section went to the old market and ate some deserts there cuz alr had section lunch at adam road hawker centre.
This is how i got relaxed before the performance started:

Went to school today to help the sec1s with their music. Kenneth Kwek seriously pissed me off..kept insulting some of the sec2s who were helping the other sec1s....
After that went for batch outing today. A miserable 9 ppl turned up but at least managed to bond amongst the 9 of us. thank you to the following ppl who turned up:

Spent the past few days facebooking so didnt really bother about posting...MousHunt anf Fish Wrangler! are just tooooooooo fun!
So yesteryesterday, aka Sunday, was St Parick's day and had to march for the Irish Embessy from the Stamford Raffles statue to UOB plaza. Pracitsed so hard to memorise Jo's march, Manchester and Ireland's call but in the end couldnt march due to the heavy downpour. Sian. If only I had brought a non-SYF instrument then I would have been able march....anyway the munchies were nice so didnt really feel so bad for not marching...Got screwed when we went back to school for hanging on the bar in the bus.
Supposed to go Victor's house yesterday but parents didnt allow so had to stay at home. In the end my grandparents decided to bring my 7 year old brother and cousin and I for lunch and bowling in fear that...we would die of boredom? scored 129 for bowling...3 strikes, 2 spares....
Btw, I oso found out that Steffi actually reads my blog? omg? nvm...i oso dun really care but glad tt ppl i do not noe personally read my blog...gunna go facebook now...

English lessons for the past 1 week has been quite meaningful.
On Monday we watched the movie "Wednesday"
On Tuesday we watched the movie "Thursday"
Didnt watch any movie on Wednesday because it was OCP lesson.
On Thursday we watched the movie "Saturday"
And today, Friday, we finished watching the last part of the movie "Sunday"
If you havent guessed yet, the movie is actually "The Day After Tomorrow"
Anyway, ZhiBin came to the bandroom today to help Joshua and I with Jericho and Overture. It really was ALOT of help to me...not sure for Joshua though...plus I sold my first Cocoa Tree Voucher today! Yeah! Ahaha.

A rip from my batch blog.

SYF is approaching. Only a month left. From the very first time I heard SJIMB till now, I feel and I know that we have improved tremendously. Our tone, articulation, pitch, etc has reached a whole new level. However, we must not be complacent. You might think that we have already attained a gold standard but my section's tutor Ms Ong told my section something that we really should know: other school bands are also improving like us. Our current standards could have gotten us a Gold maybe in the SYF 2 or 4 years ago but times have changed. Other bands have changed. So if we want to assure ourselves that we really get this gold, we really need to practise doubly hard. Go to the bandroom whenever you are free. If not, bring your instrument back home and practise at least 15 minutes a day. We can't wait any longer. Work on parts in Jericho or Overture that you are weak at. Maintain or improve the parts which you are already good at. We must give our 100%. For our sec 3 and 4 seniors who will be playing for SYF with SJIMB for their last time, and also for ourselves. If we attain a Gold, you want to walk out of Singapore Concert Hall proud because you know that you have done your part and given your best and not be a parasite and get the gold because of other bandsmens' hardwork. This is a team effort. Every person is important. A 4th part of the song is equally important as the 1st part. So do not have the menality that you suck because you are playing the 3rd of 4th part. Lower parts are meant to support the higher parts. They are the foundations. So sec2s, work hard. The day is approaching. We must and we will be prepared to fight this battle! We will stand strong against the judges. We will show them who is the best!

Common test are finally over. Maths A1! today's physics was quite easy too. hope i do well for other subjects....though i've already failed higher chinese by 5 marks....
Anyway i think that some ppl from ACSI (All can swim Idiots)(Random) should learn to grow up and not make a joke out of themselves by insulting themselves without reflecting on their own weaknesses first...the ACSI kid thinks that its Gold with HONEST and not Gold with honours. Get honest with yourself kid...
Moved to temporary classroom today. got aircon so cool.

Today's band parade was kinda different. We fell-in to take attendance lyk usual but instead of practising at the hall, we went to the parade square. The acoustics of the parade square was supposed to make our mistakes more obviously heard i guess but it seemed the band played pretty well today. Even Mrs Chua and Mr Tan were impressed. Haha. In your face Mr XXXXX. Lol? Anyway good job horn section!
We were dimissed early today cuz my section didnt hav masterclass so we stayed back to do instrument maintanence and I wuz so 'lucky' and i poured to much silver polish to polish my horn n i had a real hard time rubbing it clean...anyway played soccer today after band lyk normal. I think for inter-unit soccer tournament, Guru should play goalkeeper. Dun ask me why. I juz think that way. After lunch at Tanglin, it started to pour heavily so I played UNO with joshua n some other bandsmen at Tanglin cafe until the rain got smaller.
came home at 3.30 and slept for almost 3hours. I cant believe Im actually posting now bcuz i really should be studying for my common test...

Chee Kok Seng was absent from school yesterday. Another young chinese security guard replaced him. (I cant believe i actually notice this kind of stuff).
Anyway, learnt a new catchy song from Hao Teng after sectionals today. Haha. kept singing it. Lol? Stil nid to sell cocoa tree vouchers/coupons/tickets/papers. In total Ive sold...erm...$0 worth of coupons.
SYF is juz round the corner. there's only 1 chance. we cant miss this chance. Gold is so close. WE CAN DO IT! WE WILL DO IT!

so yesterday was the soundcheck...yupp...i didnt go very well...our playing totally sucked....the acoustics of the concert hall made all the mistakes sound so clear...to all Bandsmen:

Gold is just that little away...
but sometimes i feel that we shouldnt be focusing only on the Gold for SYF. I think that SYF is a competition for us to learn and bond together as a band. Even if we do not get a Gold, i personally feel that we should not be upset or disappointed no matter the outcome as long as we've given our 100%.

Was sick and very busy the past few days so didnt hav time to post.
Thursday's parade was not too bad. decorated the bandroom wif valentines day stuff. Richard kewk got pumped lyk a mad dog bcuz of his ego. Well, my batch's ROs already predicted that Richard's ego would get him into trouble one day.
Yesterday was sports day, me, Thaddaeus, Samuel Tan, Daryl and Joshua had to do some prize duty which was quite fun..but not very fun when my stomach was not feeling well. Anyway, after sports day, i went MOS burger with my section. My first time eating at MOS burger and i think the food is not bad. After eating some hotdog, minestronie soup and some lemontea, i nided to shit again..stupid stomach flu gah...
So today was Valentines day. Band parade as usual. 3rd and 4th Horn totally screwed up during masterclass...anywayz, after band my section went out again. we ate at subway then went to ben n jerry's for ice-cream cuz hao teng could get us discount. the lemon sorbet was lyk...awesome!
Oh yes! I cant forget about this: we had batch relays during today's parade. quite disappointed with my batch cuz there are some self-centered batchmates hu think the relay is only about winning. they put all the fast runners in one team hoping that team would get at leat first position in one event and the other sec2 team was juz extra. Bjorn, Daryl and I ran for the extra/slack team cuz we didnt want to join the ego ppl hu call themselves the first team...I hope those ego ppl hu think that they r fast runners n were running in the first team understand that relay is meant for us to bond and help each other..its not about getting first place...anyway there's no prize...
Hope tmrs soundtrack at Singapoe Concert Hall will go smoothly...

Today was different.
I woke up as usual at 5plus but i didnt go school cuz stil not fully recovered. Was Feeling weak in the morning so started fixing my section and batch blog until about 11plus then i finally went to see a doctor...so bored at home that i decided to go to school for math olympiad training and to collect band jacket. I know im crazy...sick still go school. But I wouldnt be samuel i weren't crazy...anyway while w8ing for the bus to come, some bloody paedophile motorcyclist started smiling at me lyk some...paedophile? Super gross...then after math olympiad, i walked to the bus stop with dylen mun and richard kwek. while passing by SCGS, dylen started talking about some chinese drink which he called "china man's cum"...suddenly richard kwek said "wtf" and said something about the scgs girls legs....It was damn funny cuz after that dylen started calling him a bloody-sick-shit-paedo cuz the legs of the girls richard was staring at were those of primary1s....Haha. Reached home started to rain...
Anyway to all those Anti-Mrs Khoo people, juz to let u noe that mrs khoo isn't that all bad...though she mite giv tonnes of homework, she still cares for us in some way or another. it depends if u take the effort to notice how she cares for u. Same goes for the other teachers....

Spent so much time in the band room sorting out my section archives and library. It seems me and Joshua's hard work paid off after 3 hours of manual labour...the library so clean and neat now...but our door abit the screwed cuz the screw loose. To Glen: ready for stand-by-library tmr...Haha. Joking. Joking.
Today oso managed to get Overture No.2 for Wind Band's part 1 to 4 Horn Score. Tmr go band room muz try practice cuz i heard its super hard compared to Overture No.1 . Anyway, tmr got combined practice again so muz play well no matter wad!!! MUZ PLAY WELL!!! im paranoid.

Yesterday was too busy to post. morning got parade and we didnt play well again so Mr tan got kinda pissed...after that we had masterclass and we screwed up overture number 1. Our Horn tutor Ms Ong was kinda pissed too cuz she (lyk Mr Tan) knew that we could do much better. Joshua and I were also laughing lyk crap during masterclass cuz we kept looking at Thaddaeus giving his unque faces. Haha. After making our conductor and tutor pissed, Me, Joshua, Thaddaeus, Victor and Tze Cin went to Plaza Sing to buy some books from Yamaha. In the end we bought a Horn book featuring many famous songs lyk Harry Potter theme, Lord of the rings and some others. Then, we went to KFC and started using the tissue to squeeze out the oil from the chucken....Damn Fun! After reaching home, I fell asleep. Super tired. I was woken up at 6plus cuz nided to go some japanese buffet to celebrate my grandfather's birthday. the sashimi was SHIOK!
Today.
Went church in the morning.
Went church friend's house for lunch.
Went to another church friend's house to visit.
Played Wii Guitar Hero and Mario kart.

Today was not too bad. Went to grandma house for lunch and did half of my literature AA in the afternoon as well as talk to tze cin about girls at the same time....lol? At about 5pm, some of the church youth came my house. One of them was an ex-josephian, 19 years old this year, and he kept asking me about SJI. He even told me that nicole khoo wuz his form tutor before and she was always getting pregnant...lol again? After telling my dad that i wuz in bad hands in SJI (lol 3rd time?), he started asking super lame but funny questions about pregnancy. The funniest question wuz: How do females get pregnant if they hav 6 pacs as the pacs mite not stretch with the stomach?
The answers from the youth were super funny but i can only remember 1 answer which was....erm..."pacs or child" which means the woman either aborts the child to keep her abs or forgoes her abs in order to keep the child...LOL again!!!
After talking so much crap, Im stuck here completing my last part of the literature AA...at least i managed to seek some help from my kor kor and classmate, Ming Sheng. Thanks guys. now 11 plus liao...muz go sleep soon....sian...

Today was quite "interesting"...that's all i can say...so much for Chinese New Year...It was lyk any other school holiday...BORING...the only difference wuz that i went visting and got AngBaos...
Now on to my Literature AA...it has proven that the Literature AA due on wednesday is truly damn freaking HARD!!! Even one of the smartest guys in class says its hard...Ive been searching the internet for damn long liao but luckily after getting really bored i found a really useful website which i think the other sec2s mite find useful too cuz got all the info needed for the final product. The URL is http://famouspoetsandpoems.com . It has all the poet's biographies and their poems. I wonder if my other friends found this website cuz it really is much easier with the help of it.
Oh Yar! How could I 4get? As i was searching thru my cupboard juz now in the afternoon...i found my old Duel Masters cards which i used to play in primary school...I dun really play now and i dowan to throw my cards away cuz it will be damn waste so if u r interested i can giv them to u if u ask me or sell them to u at LOW prices if they r shiny or foil cards...Guaranteed Cheap!
